The high street is starting to reopen to the public again, for the first time in months. So we take a look at the offers that are encouraging shoppers back. Whether you want to splash out on the home, or simply treat yourself to a free hot drink, we’ve found some of the best offers out there to save you money.
John Lewis up to 70% off
Now the lockdown is easing and we are able to go out a bit more, it could be a good time to take advantage of the massive clothes discounts on offer.
Cue the John Lewis sale, with 70% off womenswear and menswear and up to 60% off baby and child. The menswear collection includes the likes of Diesel and Ralph Lauren. Womenswear includes a range of brands, from AllSaints to Whistles.
There’s also up to 50% off homeware and sports goods, and up to 30% off electricals. Best be quick if you want to grab a deal - things are selling like hotcakes on their website!
Up to 70% off at Office
All the family are covered by the Office sale, where you can get up to 70% off. Take these cute Mickey Mouse Havaianas for babies for example, they were £17.99, now they’re just £13. Or you could walk away with these casual Ted Baker sandals for women, with £19 knocked off.
What about these men’s Adidas trainers which were £69.99, now only £45 - saving you almost £25 (which could be the equivalent of another pair of shoes!).
Disney 30% off selected lines
If you’ve got little ones who are Disney fans, you may be happy to know there’s currently a sale on selected lines. So you can get things like a Mickey Mouse lawnmower for just £10.39, and a half-price Beauty and the Beast teatime playset for £9.99. Plus older kids aren’t frozen out of the sale either. For example, there’s the Frozen 2 Monoply boardgame with 30% off - perfect for those rainy days!
A free hot drink from Cafe Nero
Caffe Nero stores are reopening - as a takeaway service. To welcome you back, they’re giving away free hot drinks to anyone who makes their next purchase via their app. This is an ongoing offer.
You even get a bonus stamp on your loyalty card with your first drink. Once you’ve collected nine stamps, you get your tenth coffee for free (or other hot drink if you prefer). You can earn two bonus stamps by inviting a friend to the Caffe Nero app, once they use it to buy a drink.
20% off JustEat
Talking about takeaways, every Tuesday you can get 20% off food from Just Eat. The discount is applied automatically when you spend £15 or more on takeaways and it’s delivered straight to your door. Say you get a takeaway worth £20, you’ll only pay £16 with this deal.
Simply enter your postcode into the Just Eat website to find a participating restaurant near you. There’s a whole variety of food to chose from, including pizzas, kebabs, Caribbean, Indian, American - don’t forget something for dessert!
Lidl fruit and veg box £1.50
Lidl have got an amazing offer where you can get a ‘Too Good To Waste’ box of seasonal fruit and veg weighing 5kg for just £1.50! The food is at the end of its shelf life, but they don’t want it to go to waste. It can still be put to good use. For example, you could turn it into a homemade soup, or add it to curry or pasta dish.
These boxes are sold on a first come first served basis, so the earlier you pop into the store, the more chance you’ll have of nabbing one.
Dunelm up to 50% sale
If you want to add a splash of colour to your home with some new soft furnishings, like curtain, cushions or a new bedspread, take a look at the Dunelm sale. They’re offering up to half price on selected bedding, curtains and bathroom items. Plus large discounts on certain rugs, mattresses and furniture.
Light up your home office space with this glass desk lamp, which was £32 and is now £25.60. Or add a bit of cosiness to your living room with this shaggy rug with 50% off. It was £69, now it’s only £34.50 (120cm x 170cm).
50% off electric toothbrushes at Boots
You can save a whooping £170 off Oral-B Genius X electric toothbrushes in Boots. They usually retail for £340, but they’re going for £169.99 at the moment, which is 50% off.
The toothbrush comes in a couple of colours, black and rose gold. It uses Artificial Intelligence to monitor your brushing and provide feedback to help you get a deeper clean. It’ll give you a score to say how well you’ve brushed your teeth, based on things like how long and hard you brushed for. The retailer claims you can remove up to 100 per cent more plaque for healthier gums in 30 days compared to a manual toothbrush.
Extras include a smart USB travel case, which charges your brush and phone. Plus a rechargeable battery and charging station, so you shouldn’t lose power if you take it away.
