14 restaurants continuing the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme
The nation benefited from cheaper eating out in August, with 50% off food and drinks in many eateries across the country.
The government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme allowed people to support local food and drinks businesses during August, with half-price food and drink - offering savings of up to £10 per person.
It was undoubtedly successful in uptake, with £336 million worth of discounts applied across the month. Some businesses have been so convinced by it that they’re continuing to offer discounts during September too. Many are matching the discount across certain menu items and in some cases, extending them.
Here's a round-up of 14 nationwide restaurants offering their version of the scheme this month. We strongly recommend that you contact restaurants beforehand to check table availability. Also, look out for your favourite restaurants on social media, as there may be more discounts to be found.
The Drake & Morgan chain, which has restaurants in London, Edinburgh and Manchester, will be offering 50% off food and non-alcoholic drink for all bookings made for Mon-Wed throughout September, up to the value of £10. The Argentinian steak restaurant is continuing the offer throughout September on their a la carte menu at all Gaucho restaurants from Monday to Wednesday. You get fifty percent off food and non-alcoholic drinks up to a maximum discount of £10 per person.
