This Halloween, impress your friends with the fact that one in every 14 adults in the UK say they have had a paranormal experience in their own home.
This is equal to 17 million people, according to our research*. These paranormal experiences include seeing ghost-like figures, orbs and objects moving on their own, and hearing inexplicable noises.
Interestingly, women are more likely to say that they have had a paranormal encounter than men, with just over 3 million more women claiming they have witnessed a supernatural presence inside their home.

More positively, renters and buyers also report that some properties have an unexplained “positive vibe” making it seem cosy, warm and inviting. A quarter of people have decided to buy or rent a home because of a positive feeling.
