Homes 1 & 2 – Los Angeles luxury
In March 2000, Renée bought a house on Woodrow Wilson Drive, Hollywood from Bob Dylan’s son, Jakob. It had three bedrooms and two bathrooms and cost her $1.875 million (£1.197 million). Three years later she sold it and upgraded to a huge estate in Bel Air for a reported $6.8 million.
The mansion was built in the 1930s and had four bedrooms and five bathrooms in the main house, a guest house and a pool house. Renée began filming Bridget Jones’s Diary in England shortly after purchasing the property, so didn’t actually get to spend that much time there.
In April 2003, Renée bought a 4-bedroom home on Egypt Lane, The Hamptons, New York for $2,150,000. The house was built around 1900 and had a heated pool and a two-car garage with loft. She put it back on the market for $4.45 million in October 2014.
Home 4 – Connecticut farmhouse
The Jerry Maguire star added to her property portfolio in November 2004 when she purchased a Connecticut farmhouse for $1.32 million. The Cotton Tavern was set on 39 acres and the main house had been built in 1770. It was a simple home, away from the glare of the paparazzi, and gave Renée the privacy she yearned for. She tried to sell it in late 2011 to no avail, but put it back on the market in October 2014.
Home 5 – New York apartments
In 2007, Renée decided to purchase an apartment in Manhattan, New York. She had previously rented an apartment in Central Park South for over a decade.
Renée’s apartment was in the 1913 townhouse building of East 82nd Street at Madison Avenue. She paid a reported $5.4 million and the next year snapped up the neighbouring apartment too, for $2.8 million. She put both apartments on the market in November 2010 for $8.95 million and sold them the following March.
