All three credit reference agencies – that’s Experian’s CreditMatcher, ClearScore, which works with Equifax and Noddle, part of CallCredit – now let you check your credit report for nothing, nada, zilch. That means no more forking out for pricey credit-checking services ever again.
We know what you’re thinking. I used to have to pay for this service - why on Earth would these companies now give it me for free? There’s got be a catch, right?!
Wrong! There’s no catch, we promise. And it’s all completely legit.
The only thing different to their paid for alternatives is that they’re a bit more basic. However, you still get you everything you need to check on your report so you can start making improvements to it.

Credit reports sound boring, do I have to check mine?
Ok, we’ll be honest, it’s not going to be as exciting as opening your birthday presents. But if you want to apply for credit, yes, please check it. It’s a really good idea to make sure your credit report’s up to scratch before you go anywhere near an application form.
Your report paints a picture of you as a borrower and it’s what lenders look at when they credit check you – which they do each time you apply for credit.
That’s why it’s so important to make sure it’s up to date - it puts you one-step ahead of your lenders!
